Thank you, Rosa. "The only thing that bothered me was that we waited so long to make this protest." - Rosa Parks

"Whatever you do, you need courage. Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising that tempt you to believe your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires some of the same courage that a soldier needs. Peace has its victories, but it takes brave men and women to win them." - Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Thank you for posting this, K. I wanted to post something similar on my own blog, but you have beaten me to it, so I will be content to comment here and call it good.

Ms. Parks has been an inspiration to me over the years. I have admired her quiet courage and willingness to make a difference, in whatever small way she can. A simple person, simply doing what they know to be right can indeed change the world.

I agree.

I love that it all started with her being to tired to stand, the metaphor in her taking a stand on her refusal to that day.

read abt it..
how she refusing to give-up her seat...to whites

was wondering how in the first place those racist rules get into hand in america?

preferences on the whites...

luckily it was a past...

We have been studying about her, great woman.
There should be a big memorial built for her, and for what she stood up against.
