Congrats on your zen-like attitude about the chimney. You'll have to elaborate on whether the rest came down on its own or did they demo the rest.

I'm glad you enjoyed a work free Monday. For a while there you sounded like you wouldn't enjoy a day off, and that's just plain nuts.

re: still super fond of it....you make me laugh! I'm starting to think that I have built up a tolerance to mine. Is that possible? Like, it no longer blows my hair back, so do I need to up the dosage?

Our contractor harnessed up, swung down from above and took the chimney down, brick by brick. It actually looks pretty 'clean' on the outside, which is great. So no more brick-crashing drama to speak of. :)
