:: Three Things Thursday :::: SPF: Something I Made ::
  • 1. My favorite clothing color is black. I have to work at keeping color in my wardrobe, because I just gravitate to dark colored clothes.
  • 2. At one of my college jobs, I wore black for a week solid and hummed "Bad Moon Rising" everytime the boss walked by because I wanted to show my protest of his decision to callously fire my friend.
  • I typically wear black on June 21st to mourn the days growing shorter and shorter until the winter solstice.
  • I painted this at a ceramics store called "Earth, Glaze and Fire."

I always imagine one day I'll actually use it. I'd fill it with juice and bring it out to the patio along with a tray of fruit and muffins to enjoy an outside breakfast and chat. Or fill it with Gerbera daisies for a centerpiece to set on a bright cheery table. Mostly, it sits on a shelf.

    Comments:
Two things: 1) The 'Bad Moon Rising' vignette absolutely cracked me up! 2) We always celebrate the soltice with a backyard cook-out on June 21. But I'd fit in with your tradition, too, since my wardrobe is almost completely comprised of black as an essential piece of every outfit.

Oh, I found you through Romy's. Hope you don't mind me popping over uninvited.

That pitcher is one of my favorites. Post photos of some of the other things you've done at EG&F. They're all so cool.

Hi Eclectic! Thanks so much for popping by. You are welcome any, any time. :)

Sherry, I don't have many of those things any more. I gave bunches of them away. I do have the nativity set still, so maybe I'll post pics of that when/if we get out our decorations this year.

    1) you are so talented you are making me sick!! That pitcher is beautiful. You even painted shadows of the trees! I HATE YOU! :)

    2) that story about humming while the boss walked by is soooooo you....I love it. I can't decide who is more passive aggressive, you or me! lol

    3) my highbrow husband is watching The Ice Pirates and peeing himself with laughter. I'm wondering if I'm missing out on something by not joining him....

I like the picture. Very pretty.

I would sooooooo love to be at that brunch when you pull it out.

Juice, coffee, fruit, a sweetish rollish thing...

I am a teensy bit hungry.

Did your boss catch on to the "Bad Moon RIsing" thing? That's funny!

You are full of hidden and mysterious talents, as usual!

Remember when we were both working at Bethany LB and I would plant songs in your head by humming or whistling them near you when I came out of my office to the drinking fountain? Hehehe... That was sooo much fun. I would change songs on you throughout the day and later you would complain to me that you had the stupidest song stuck in your head--didn't know where it came from. That little game amused me to no end.

Sherry, totally! I am so impressionable... :) :(
